Turn on Edit delivery frequency to let customers choose only from the delivery frequencies offered by their subscription plan.
Step 1: Open the portal settings
Go to Settings → Customer portal.
Step 2: Allow frequency changes
Under Subscription actions, turn on Edit delivery frequency.
Step 3: Save
Save the settings.
A customer can change a subscription's delivery frequency once per billing cycle.

Use Choose what customers can do in their account to review the other portal permissions.
