Use Customer portal settings to choose which actions subscribers can take in their Shopify customer account.
Product swaps and add-ons need Growth or higher before customers see choices in the portal.
Step 1: Open the portal settings
Go to Settings -> Customer portal.
Step 2: Choose subscription actions
Under Subscription actions, turn on the actions customers may take on the whole subscription.
Step 3: Choose product actions
Under Subscription product actions, turn on product changes only when customers are allowed to change what they receive.
Use What customers can choose from to create the add-on and swap lists before you expect those product buttons to show choices.
Step 4: Choose upcoming order actions
Under Upcoming orders actions, turn on the actions customers may take on future orders.
Step 5: Check limits
Leave Limits off unless you want to take an action back after turning it on above.
Set Payments required before a customer can cancel, by default only when Cancel subscription is on.
Step 6: Save
Save the settings.
