# Apply a discount to an existing subscription

Set a price or discount on a product line in an existing subscription.

Progus does not attach a Shopify discount code to an existing subscription. Instead, set a price or discount on each product line. This is available on every Progus plan.

### Before you start

For Mollie subscriptions, price editing is unavailable for prepaid, Club, invoice, Adyen, and free-of-charge subscriptions, and for products inside a build-a-box subscription.

### Step 1: Open the subscription

Open **Subscriptions** from the app navigation.

Click the matching subscription.

### Step 2: Open the editor

Under **Subscription details**, click **Edit**.

### Step 3: Open the price

-   For a Shopify-billed subscription, click the product's current price to open **Edit price**.
    
-   For a Mollie-billed subscription, click **Edit price** beside the product.
    

### Step 4: Set the discount

If the editor shows discount options, choose **Percentage off**, **Amount off**, or **Fixed price**.

If it does not, the field is **Subscription price**.

Enter the value.

Click **Update**.

Repeat the price edit for every product line that should receive the discount.

### Step 5: Finish the change

For a Mollie-billed subscription, this saves the price and shows the next charge amount.

For a Shopify-billed subscription, click **Save**.
