# Keep customer product choices on every renewal

Create a build-a-box subscription that renews with the products and quantities the customer chose.

Create a build-a-box subscription that renews with the products and quantities the customer chose.

Unlike a product rotation, a box keeps its customer-selected lines out of the automatic renewal rotation.

### Step 1: Start a box

Open **Build a box**.

### Step 2: Open the creator

Click **Create box**.

### Step 3: Name the box

Enter a **Box name**.

### Step 4: Choose the products

Under **Product pool collection**, click **Choose**.

### Step 5: Select the collection

Select the collection whose products customers may add.

### Step 6: Set the renewal timing

Set the delivery cadence.

### Step 7: Set the box size

Set the box-size limits.

### Step 8: Create the draft

Click **Create box**.

### Step 9: Make the box available

Click **Activate**.

### Step 10: Open the install instructions

Open **Install**.

### Step 11: Open the theme editor

Click **Open theme editor**.

### Step 12: Add the picker

Add the **Build a box** app block.

### Step 13: Connect the block

Paste the box handle into the **Box handle** setting.
