The portal your subscribers manage their subscription in ships with our wording. You can replace it with yours, so it reads like your shop rather than like a subscription app.
Go to Settings → Translations, or the Translations tab on the Subscription Widget page. The Customer portal card is below the widget text one.
The fields are grouped by where the sentence appears, so you can find one by remembering where you saw it:
Subscription list: the page heading, the empty state, and the labels for the next order
Status labels: active, paused, cancelled, expired, pending and failed
Buttons: manage, pause, resume, skip, more options and view details
Subscription details: delivery frequency, payment, shipping address, shipping method and pickup location
Pause, resume and cancel: the confirmation dialogs, which is where most of the wording a customer actually reads sits
Skipping and ordering now
Swapping products
Error banners and loading messages are deliberately not on the list. They are machine-ish fragments nobody reads as your voice, and the easiest to break.
It is per language, the same way the widget text is. Pick a language at the top and reword it for that one.
Leave a field empty and the portal keeps the sentence it ships with. You only override what you actually type.
Each group shows how many fields you have reworded, and carries a Reset these button to put that group back to the shipped wording.
It applies to both billing engines, so a customer whose subscription is billed through Mollie reads your wording too.
Start with the pause and cancel dialogs. That is where a customer is closest to leaving, and where your own words are worth the most.
Open your own customer account after saving and read the page as a subscriber would.
Selling in more than one language? Reword the languages you actually sell in, and leave the rest on the shipped text.
Stuck on any of this? Open the chat in the bottom right corner of the app and we will help you set it up.
