Most of what you see in Progus Subscriptions is read from Shopify each time you open a page. This article lists what the app stores itself, so you can answer a data request without guessing.
Subscriptions billed by Shopify live in Shopify: the contract, the customer, the payment method and the orders are Shopify records. The app never keeps a copy of a card.
The app stores what Shopify has no place for. These carry customer data:
for subscriptions billed by Mollie, the subscriber email and the payment history
club announcements, cancellation reasons and a record of the events we have sent, each linked to a customer
It also holds data about you rather than your customers: the names and email addresses of your staff, your shop contact address and the sender addresses on your emails. The rest is your configuration: retry rules, tag automations, portal options and integration credentials.
Uninstalling stops the app: billing stops and your Mollie connection is switched off. Klaviyo is disconnected as well.
Your subscription contracts are not deleted. They stay in Shopify, and reinstalling brings them back under management. Mollie billing stays off until you connect Mollie again, which is a full reconnect through Mollie, not a single click. If you are leaving for good, cancel or pause your subscriptions first.
When you erase a customer in Shopify, we erase them too. The request reaches us on a schedule Shopify sets, so it is not immediate. Any Mollie subscription of theirs is cancelled first, so an erasure cannot leave a live charge behind, and everything we hold with their email is deleted.
Records you would miss stay, with the personal fields cleared. A Mollie subscription and its payments are your accounting record, so the amounts stay and the email goes. A cancellation keeps the reason, not the customer. Delivery records are kept with the email removed. Records that identify a subscription rather than a person are kept as they are.
About two days after an uninstall we delete the rest: everything in Step 1, your shop record and your Mollie and Klaviyo credentials. Plans, clubs and rules stay, they are not personal data.
For a data request, or to have data removed sooner, open the chat and we will provide it.
Nothing leaves for a third party unless you connect it. Connecting Mollie under Settings → Integrations exchanges subscriber and payment data with your own Mollie account, and connecting Klaviyo sends events and profiles to your Klaviyo account. Disconnecting stops the sending, but does not delete what the other service already stores.
Planning to uninstall? Cancel or pause your subscriptions first, so customers get their notifications.
Handling an erasure request? Erase the customer in Shopify, the erasure that follows clears our records too.
Review your connected integrations and disconnect what you no longer use.
Stuck on any of this? Open the chat in the bottom right corner of the app and we will help you set it up.
