Manage subscriptions from Claude

Connect your store to Claude and ask it to look up subscriptions, pause or cancel them, move billing dates and build plans.

Progus Subscriptions has a connector for Claude. Once your store is connected, you can ask Claude in plain language to find a subscription, pause it, move its next charge or create a plan.

Step 1: Install the app first

The connector works on stores that already have Progus Subscriptions installed. If it is not installed yet, install it from the Shopify App Store and come back.

Step 2: Add the connector in Claude

You add the connector on the Claude side, in Claude's own connector settings. Ask us in the chat if you cannot find them. Claude then sends you to a Connect to Claude page hosted by the app, outside the Shopify admin.

Step 3: Enter your store and authorize

Type your store name or the full .myshopify.com domain in the Shopify store field. The page checks it while you type and confirms Progus Subscriptions is installed. Click Continue to Shopify, sign in and approve. Shopify proves you control that store, and the connection is granted for it alone.

Step 4: Ask Claude to do the work

The connector sees both billing engines, Shopify contracts and Mollie subscriptions alike. It can read:

  • subscriptions, one subscription in detail, and its upcoming billing cycles

  • subscribers and everything a single subscriber has running, except Mollie-only subscribers without a Shopify customer record, which must be found in the subscriptions list

  • plans and the products they can be built from

  • your subscription analytics

And it can change:

  • pause, resume or cancel a subscription

  • skip a billing cycle, or move one to another date

  • change the quantity on a subscription line

  • send a customer the email to update their payment method (Shopify card subscriptions only: Mollie-engine subscriptions can use SEPA, BLIK, Adyen card or invoice billing, so there is no such email)

  • create, update or delete subscription plans

Changes run through the app, so retries, tags and customer emails behave exactly as in the admin. Some Club actions are blocked: Claude cannot move a Club billing date, cannot change the quantity of a Club membership, box or automatically managed line, and cannot create, change or delete a plan that belongs to a Club. Pausing, resuming and cancelling carry no Club check, so Claude can cancel a Club subscription like any other. Anything not on the lists above still has to be done in the app.

What to do next

  • Start with a read-only question, such as which subscriptions renew this week, before asking for a change.

  • Need the same data in a spreadsheet instead? See Export subscriptions to CSV.

Stuck on any of this? Open the chat in the bottom right corner of the app and we will help you set it up.
